web i go to use my web proxy it comes up with error message
The 178.79.158.160 page isn’t working
178.79.158.160 didn’t send any data.

I also cannot use this in my own player as it says it is down on our shoutcast server status.

Same exact problem here, we have a lot of listeners who would like to listen to our station via Second Life stream, and when they use our proxy, they all say it says it is playing, but there is no sound at all for all of them.
Can you please fix this as soon as possible guys. Thank you very much. Our stream is:

http://45.79.186.124/stream/megatoncafe.pls?mp=/stream

Something else we also noticed, when in ShoutCast it says:
Stream is currently up but requires registration in the SHOUTcast Directory.
Listeners are allowed and the stream will act like it is private until resolved.

Thank you very much for the authhash link! It fixed the - private - setting we had.
As for the stream link we will contact Second Life Linden devs and find a solution as for their audio player.
Thank you again guys!

No problem :)

That proxy link is a playlist tune in link (.pls) so it's intended to be loaded into the listeners own media player, not used with a web player.

They are using our SHOUTcast link now, and it works fine, thank you.

Although, we now have a big problem regarding the SHOUTcast authhash.
After setting it, we ended with only one genre, which is normal with SHOUTcast because they are only allowing one, we understand that.
The problem with that is that it also bypassed our Internet Radio account genre settings, even if we have it set with Centova auto-DJ under the genres we use,
still it now shows only one genre. The big problem with this is that we are playing more than one genre: Jazz, Swing, Big Band and Oldies which in reality we should call and regroup under one genre:
Atomic or Atomic Jazz, or even Atomic Oldies, as we are playing songs from a particular era and theme: The Atomic Age depicted in many post-apocalyptic movies, videogames and real events as well.

We need to find a solution regarding this particular problem as so far it doesn't work at all for us.
Either we need to go back to the genres we had, as we can see many other stations with up to 6 genres, or then you guys will need to give us a new genre which finally will regroup all the genres we are playing.
under one name. As right now we are stuck with something like: Vocal Jazz, which isn't working since listeners seeing that genre, and tuning-in into like Dion or Chuck Berry's rock and roll as an example, will not understand why
it was listed as vocal jazz, even if we DO play a lot of Jazz as well, from 1920s to the 1950s.

Ok that's good :)

Yes that is a problem with the SCv2 authhash settings. We do get why they do it, but it is quite limiting at the same time!

The only solution would be then to perhaps delete the authhash that you have created and go back to having all the genres that you had before and keep the stream unregistered for the shoutcast.com directory. The thing is with the authhash, we don't think any such genres such as "Atomic/Atomic Jazz/Atomic Oldies" are even available? They are pretty basic and all encompassing genres really that they offer, so it probably won't be possible to regroup them all under such a genre.

Done, we deleted our Authhash but we are still stuck with the one Shoutcast genre.
When we created the Authash it reverted automatically, is it supposed to do the same when deleting it? A cooldown period?
Lets just hope that we do not have to restart the server, as we have a lot of listeners 24-7 and cant really do that.
